Privacy Notice
1. Scope and responsible party
Quesabyte IT Solutions (PTY) LTD is responsible for personal information processed through the Quesabyte licensing portal and related commercial support activities. A self-hosted MSP customer is generally responsible for the personal information it stores and processes in its own ChangeControl instance. For managed-cloud services, responsibilities are defined in the applicable agreement and Data Processing Addendum.
2. Information processed
We may process account, contact, authentication, billing, support, licensing, device, audit, communication and technical information required to provide the portal, commercial relationship, support, security and legal obligations. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information, credentials or client secrets through public contact channels.
3. Purpose and lawful basis
Information is used to create and administer accounts, issue and validate licences, process payments, provide support, secure services, communicate important updates, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations and improve the product. Processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent where required and legal obligations.
4. Sharing and international transfers
We use service providers only where reasonably necessary for hosting, communications, payments, security, support or professional services. Providers must be subject to appropriate contractual and security controls. Cross-border transfers are handled using lawful safeguards appropriate to the relevant jurisdiction.
5. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, audit and legal retention requirements. We apply administrative, technical and organisational measures appropriate to the service, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Customers must use strong access controls and protect their own environments.
6. Rights and contact
Depending on applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. Requests and privacy concerns can be sent to support@quesabyte.co.za. We may need to verify identity and may retain information where required by law or legitimate operational needs.
